Trip to Switzerland: Day 2, morning
We went to a botanical garden, called Botanischer Alpengarten Schynige Platte, situated at the top of a mountain in a southern region of Interlaken. It took us around 1 hour by train and mountain railway from the nearby station of the hotel. The trains were full of tourists wearing hiking wears and they look very excited and lively looking forward to a hike there. Once we arrived at the destination station, an overwhelming and breathtaking view caught our attention immediately. Far from the station is Leiterhorn and Maennlichen whose summits were covered with snow. It was a bit pity that the sky was not very clear and parts of their summits were covered with clouds, but I found the clouds added a unique and more picturesque atmosphere to the view. After taking pictures of many different angles of those mountains, we started hiking. The botanical garden had around 10 trails whose difficulty ranges from easy to very hard. We took an intermediate level as opposed to the plan we made beforehand that was easy. We really wanted to indulge ourselves in a hike with the amazing and beautiful 360 degree views as long as we could. Along the trail we also took as many pictures as we could (the photos ended up with around 300!!) We arrived at a restaurant at the end of the trail and took a light lunch. The view on the way down was still beautiful, and I took many pictures again so I will not have any regrets and can still enjoy the views again by looking back the pictures.
