[Translation Practice] Practicing Chopin after rRetirement

Recently, I’ve heard on the radio that many middle and old-aged people are taking piano lessons.

On a TV program featuring piano performers who improvisationallye play theing pianos placed in airports or train stations, I think I often see the elderly among them.

I started taking piano lessons after my compulsoryhaving to retirement, thinking it might help prevent dementia.

This year marks the 6sixth year since then.

Nevertheless, the piano in my house was dust-covered with dust for more than ten years, during which I was a supervisor.

My fingers didn’t move as I had expected them to in the first lesson.

However, after two years since thenstarting, I was delighted to be able to play Moonlight by Beethoven, which I had thought to be impossible for me.

These days my performance of Chopin's Nocturne haves been working out well, making me realize the power of "Practice makes perfect."

I’m sure it was right decision that I enlarged the (score/sheet music) with a photocopier for mye to practice.

I’m sure it was right decision that I was smart and used a copier to enlarged the score with a copiers for my practice.

We don't really use the phrase, "I'm sure it was the right decision," in the US so I changed it.

Besides, when I successfully played ARASHI's Kite, which has a lot of modulation, I was so happy that I felt like I could walk on the air.
