Translation
Hey guys,
Currently, I am trying to translate some random sentences which I've read in an exam preparation paper. So they won't make that much sense as they are not logically connected with each other. However, I hope their sense is still recognizable.
My first term paper which I handed in barely before the deadline, was evaluated by the lecturer with 5,0.
If the university is successful with its application as an elite university, it would gain that much attractivity for students and investors.
I would have had a better result, If I had visited more seminars. (In this one I am particularly interested, as the second part of the sentence feels so wrong. I don't think that it is correct (esp. with the "had")
The professor expressed, that the money for the excursions is nearly exhausted, (could I use the word "gone" in this sentence?) this disappointed the class badly.
I don't only love this website almost to an unmeasurable amount but also the people who spent their free time to help an English learning fool who I identify as myself. With these two unnecessary long sentences, I want to express my gratitude to these people and wish not only them, but also all users of this platform a wonderful and productive day.
All yours (I have not the intention to be formal, but is it common to disband with these words?)

If i had attended more seminars I would have received a better grade. You 'attend' lectures and seminars as opposed to visiting them. The same goes for 'attending university'.

Yours, is a neutral way of ending a letter. I always end emails with 'Many Thanks' which is formal enough for gas bill enquiries and lawyers.

If you must call yourself a fool, you should be aware that 'A fool persisting in his folly eventually becomes wise.'
'If the university justifiably claims to be elite,' was a sentence that was almost impossible to put together for some reason. I think you could change it to 'As the university claims to be elite, it is an attractive choice for students etc.' Use 'so' to join two sentences together instead of starting a new sentence that way.

The thing with the sentence regarding the university. My Intention was to simply translate a German sentence into English, so I am not surprised that there isn't any sense in it. :D
