Tokyo Olympics
Olympics is plural because it is a casual contraction of 'Olympic Games.'
I have a four-days holiday starting tomorrow, thanks to the Tokyo Olympic games.
When thank is used to explain credit, it becomes thanks.
Several games started today before the opening ceremony of Olympics.
The Japanese women's softball team played against the Australian team.
Minor typo in the form of extra spacing.
It is midwinter in Australia.
Midwinter is correct but archaic, we tend to generalize seasons. If we really have to specify we'd probably say 'in the middle of winter' instead of Midwinter.
I feel sorry for them because they came from thea cold country to thea hot country.
Because country can mean both a nation and a region, they must be turned into independent objects with 'a.'
Otherwise it may sound like they're traveling from one part of their own country that's cold to another part of their country that's hot.

Well done! I suspect midwinter is archaic because it's associated with the Christmas literature and songs from the 1800s. Its a little silly that we'd use more words to explain something that we already have a word for, but that's just how it is.
