Today's Words

Lately, I have been very busy absorbing new vocabulary from past articles.

Here are some words of what I reviewed today: and whatnot, take no chances, impartial justice, hidden hands, operatives, crunch number, gain traction, shorthand, take a hit, gubernatorial, push one's agenda, spearhead, skittish, runaway climate change, in the crosshairs, get a brace, plaid, and quintessential.

Lately, I have been very busy absorbing new vocabulary from past articles.

Here are some words of what I reviewed today: and whatnot, take no chances, impartial justice, hidden hands (/), operatives, crunch number, gain traction, shorthand, take a hit, gubernatorial (/), push one's agenda, spearhead, skittish, runaway climate change, in the crosshairs, get a brace, plaid (/), and quintessential (/).

(/)のところはあんまり日常会話では使わない言葉です。Rubyさんはいつもニュースとか読んでいるので、この単語は多分ニュースかessayしか載っていないと思います。

謝らなくてもいいですよ!

はい、here are some words of what i reviewed todayもhere's some of what I've reviewed todayも違和感あります。
もっと詳しく説明してみます:
wordsはpluralなので、is (here's) より(here) areの方がいいです。

of whatはそのふうに使えません。以下の通りは例文です:
"remember more of what you learn," "we had a review of what the problem was"

of what を使いたいなら、このふうに使います:
of what I reviewed today, here are some words I paid extra attention to...

とても丁寧に解説してくださって、ありがとうございます!大変勉強になりました!実はこの表現はScientific Americanの記事で覚えたのですが、この記事はネイティブが書いたものではないのかもしれませんよね?(Here’s some of what they’ve learned so far, and where the research is heading.) https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/mucus-the-bodys-unsung-hero/

Diana Kwonはアジア人らしいですが、ネイティブだと思います。Here’s some of what they’ve learned so far, and where the research is headingは完璧の英語です。
あー、Rubyさんはどうして混乱しているのかなんとなく分かるようになりました!
大抵、"of what"を使うときに、of whatの前でsingular noun (eg. some)を使います。でも rubyさんは「some words (plural noun)」を使ったので、少し不自然に聞こえました。
You could write something like:
Lately, I have been very busy absorbing new vocabulary from past articles. Here's some of what I have learned so far (**Please note this sentence implies that you learned new vocabulary instead of reviewing the words you learned before.)
