Thoughts About Travel in Japan (4) - Japan and USA

I once watched a video in which a Chinese billionaire said the government of China is only apprehensive towards two countries in the world- Japan and the USA. I agree with his sentiments though it's difficult to carry on this topic and argue here.

Japanese know Chinese culture so deeply. I have visited several history museums in Kyoto, Nana, Tokyo and Osaka. They have well kept a significant amount of precious paintings, writings, calligraphy, craft techniques and other elite things from ancient China.I am inclined to the idea that the culture of modern China does not resemble authentic Chinese culture that existed 1000 years ago. Over the last 1000 years, splendid culture has been gradually demolished by authoritarianism. Different barbarian cultures from the north conquered here, especially in the last 400 years.

The Song dynasty (960–1279) was the last dynasty referred to as China. The interesting thing is, After the Song Dynasty, the Chinese people contributed much less to the world compare with their ancestors. Japan stopped learning from China after that.

Technically either the long dash (—) or a colon (:) should be used here. It’s difficult to type though, so this “error” is common and completely understandable.

I agree with his sentiments though it's difficult to carry on this topic and argue here.

“Argue” here is a little vague. Do you mean “give examples/explanations in support of them”? Or do you mean “argue against other interpretations”?

Japanese know Chinese culture so deeply.

I have visited several history museums in Kyoto, Nana, Tokyo and Osaka.

They have well kept a significant amount ofnumber of well-preserved precious paintings, writings, calligraphy, craft techniques and other elite thingimportant cultural items from ancient China. I am inclined to the idea that the culture of modern China does not resemble authentic Chinese culture that existedof 1000 years ago.

This is a common mistake for native speakers as well, but “number” should be used for things that are countable.

“Elite” is odd here. If you want to emphasize that this is what would be considered high class culture, you could perhaps say “cultural items of high status” or “items from the cultural elite,” although both contain additional nuances.

Over the last 1000 years, splendid culture has been gradually demolished by authoritarianism.

Different barbarian cultures from the nNorth conquered hereChina, especially in the last 400 years.

The “North” as a region would be capitalized

The Song dynasty (960–1279) was the last dynasty referred to as China.

Feedback

Interesting journal. Some minor adjustments to make, but overall good writing.

I want to say that I do not intend to discuss it more here.

I would use the phrasing that you just used in place of "argue" (e.g. "it's difficult to carry on with this topic and discuss it here" or "I rather not carry on with the topic and discuss it in depth here") then, for clarity.

No need to capitalize "A" for "after"

There is no any signs after Song Dynasty from China that can be found in those museums.
