Thoughts About Travel in Japan (1)

Just a couple of days ago, I came back from Japan. The latest time I traveled to Japan was in early 2019. This is the first time I went abroad after the disgusting coronavirus pandemic. I stayed in Osaka for 8 days only in a catholic background hotel.

The biggest impression of this time is the price for food, accommodation and transportation have roughly increased 30 to 50%. The price for leisure clothes in UNIQLO, however, roughly decreased by 20% which amazed me a lot. Inflation is a global problem, I believe anyone would not be surprised to see the price increase or even surge. But why has the lower end of some clothes in Japan declined?

In UNIQLO, I checked many labels of clothes, it's rare to see "made in China", nearly all of them are printed made in "Vietnam", "Cambodia" "Burman", "India" and other small developing countries. At least from my experience, this is one of the phenomena that "world factory" is gradually out of China. Maybe that's one of the reasons why the unemployment rate in China is so high though the government of China never admits it.

Thank you for your corrections! I thought that all words in a title should be capitalized, except for articles. 😊

The latest time I traveled to Japan was in early 2019.

Easy mistake! I wasn't sure what the difference between "latest" and "last" so I searched it up; When we use “last” with time we usually have done the activity multiple times and “the last time” is the most recent. I think "latest" is usually used as an adjective, e.g. the latest iPhone. If you wanted to use latest, you could change the sentence to "My latest trip to Japan", where the trip to japan is the noun.

I stayed in Osaka for 8 days only in a catholic background hotel.

At least from my experience, this is one of the phenomena that "world factory" is gradually moving out of China.

Needs a verb here! You could also write "gradually leaving China"
