This morning's event
I live in my university's dorm with international students, where we often talk with each other in English.
However I sometimes can't describe something due to lack of my vocabulary.
This morning I talked with one of the members who is from Pakistan.
While we were talking and watching TV shows, he wanted me to translate some words on TV. But I couldn't translate those into English well.
Especially, I had difficulty in translating "癖" into English.
”癖” has a familiar meaning to "習慣", which I knew we can use "custom". But 癖" is more personal than"習慣", so I didn't know which word to express it.
(According to a dictionary, we can translate "習慣" into many words like ”habit” or ”custom”, but "癖" into only ”habit”. )
Anyway, through the daily conversation with my roommates, I build up my vocabulary.
