The Word “Judge”

I often see some people write “Don’t judge blah blah...”
They say about sexism, racism, or personality.
I just thought “judge”= 判断する, but I realized that “judge” also means 決めつける.
判断するis like to tell which is wrong or right, or decide what to do after a person understands something deeply.
So with these meanings, sentences including “judge” didn’t make sense to me many times.
決めつけるis to have a set mindset or to judge something selfishly.

I think there’s a difference between 判断する and 決めつける, but both are “judge” in English.
It might be a very basic knowledge, but I decided to write about this in my journal to keep it in mind.

Thank you for the correction and your compliment!
Honestly I felt embarrassed about my ignorance at first, but now I’m kind of happy that I shared this word with several people on here! :)

Could you teach me one thing about this sentence?
“判断するis like to ‘tell’ which is right or wrong, .....”
I meant the word “tell” is as the same way as “distinguish.”
People don’t always talk to someone about what (s)he thinks right or wrong.
Is it more natural to write “distinguish” instead of “tell”?

In that case, you can write: 判断する is like deciding/distinguishing what is right or wrong. I think it is more natural than "tell," but maybe "decide" is the most natural.

If you're eliding with 'blah', it usually comes in three blahs.
And, 'wrong or right' feels better as 'right or wrong' (you get 26 million results on google for "right or wrong", but about 4 million for "wrong or right")

These aren't rules, but just the feel of it. Not important really.

決めつけるis to have a set mindset or to judge something selfishly.

I really appreciate you took time for me to show the accurate results.🙏🏻✨
