I went to the snow festival in Hokkaido and cam back home last night.
It's a quite popular annual event in Hokkaido.
This year, it's been holding for ten days and still it's going on.
Maybe, it's going to end tomorrow.
I went to the festival for the first time.
I though it would be very cold in Hokkaido before I visited, so I prepared snow boots, a scarf and beanie.
The temperature was around minus 1 degree Celsius during the day, and minus 10 degrees Celsius at night when I was there.

It sounds like it was very cold during the festival. But sounds like a very joyful event.

This is a little more natural because you didn't tell us you'd gone.
It's a quiterelatively popular annual event in Hokkaido.
"a quite popular" sounds weird but it's hard to explain why.
This year, it's been holding for ten days and still it's going on's festival has been going on for ten days already.
Maybe, it's going toThough, maybe, it will end tomorrow.
The maybe feels weird as a conjunction here.
I went to the festival for the first timeThis was my first time going to the festival.
I'm going to completely rewrite this because the statement you made is good grammar but not what you're trying to say. The emphasis is on the first time.
I thoughknew it would be very cold in Hokkaido before I visited, so I prepared snow boots, a scarf, and beanie.
This sounds like you're going to say のに of だが when you start as sentence with "I thought" it has the impression it's going to be like かと思うったら but it really was cold. Since it's past tense you don't need to say "before I visited".
The temperature was around minus 1 degree Celsius during the day, and minus 10 degrees Celsius-1C during the day, and -10C at night when I was there.
The reading of this is the same as you typed it but we type it a little differently.
