I write this with a heavy heart, but it's all I can think right now.
The Iranians have fighted for freedom for a very long time. Every time we feel that we're close, we're defeat by the government. They use force, and they're cruel, so not much can't be done.

OPTION A: The Iranians have fioughted for freedom for a very long time.¶
OPTION B Many Iranians have fought for freedom for a very long time.
COMMENT: Option B is better perhaps because not 100% of all Iranians have fought.... some might be apathetic.
Every time wethat many of us who are struggling for freedom feel that we're close, we're defeat by the government.
COMMENT: The word "we" invite over-generalizations . . . it is rare for 100% of humans to agree about anything in a uniform way. Better wording: many of us who are struggling for freedom .....
They government uses force, and they're cruel, so not much can't be done to stop them.
