Nowadays, people are more and more on their phone. It's definitely due to the social media.
I think it's the reason people spend as time on their screen. But there is another problem with the social media: the content posted by some people.
Indeed, there are many children aged 10 to 17 years old who can watch certain posts which can be hard for them.
Therefore, we can wonder if the social media platforms are responsible about those publications or if it's only the person who posted it.
I think the person who posted it is wrong, because he knows that many people can see it and particularly children.
On the other hand, I think the main responsible is the social media platform which allow the person to post it.
It isn't acceptable that every boddy is allowed to publish what he wants even if it could shock certain people.
I think social media platforms have to renforce their control about what it's posted and to be more tough with the age rules.

Your english is pretty good I understand everything clearly, just small tweeks to make it more natural but overall its really good! I also agree that social media is making people spend too much time on their phones. I think the social media companies need to take more steps to ensure the safety and well beings of their users. Age restrictions and restrictions on hate speech should be much more strict to ensure a safe and fun environment for everyone! But alas the companies make money by getting people addicted to their phone.

I think some responsibility needs to be on the parents who give their kids unfiltered access to the internet too. A lot of the platforms react to the burden of keeping content away from kids by just banning that content altogether and that can often restrict people unfairly too. There's a concept in English called the Scunthorpe problem that came from early internet filters. These filters were trying to prevent swearing as it was considered inappropriate for children, but they were too overeager, so they also mangled the name of Scunthorpe (a town in England) to S****thope, which makes it look far more profane than it actually is. Another example was filters that would accidentally turn the word classic into clbuttic.
