In the book and combined with my reflection, its subsequent history can be divided into three eras to show the two main categories are changing. Having benefited from the industrial revolution, the West had a prosperous period. During that time, people classified people as West or no-west world as rich or poor. The triumph of the civil war had churned the main two categorical again. A new concept was built as White or Black. Since Donal Trump won the presidential seat, the immigration issues had been pushed on the blink of the social edge. People are tagged by immigrants or citizens. My point is there are always having deep chasm between people. The changes in the world always silently classify people by themselves. No one could avoid the fate of “sealed into that crushing objecthood”.
