It's so impressive to me that everyone tells me to leave spaces after the commas since I found this site. I really appreciate it that you point this out. Though I kept learning English from kindergarten to sophomore in university and have purchased a great number of English courses out of school, none of the teachers told us to do that. The most possible reason might be we always wrote homework by hand in that age without smart phones being so widely used. I think students majoring in English would know it because they have to hand in their homework after typing them on the computer and printing them down onto the paper. I have come up with a good idea. Every time I forget to leave the space for comma, I can use the switch function in Word to change "." into ". ". I wonder when you type "." or ",", will it automatically leave a space after it or you make the space by typing the space bar in every sentence (really no offends). Do you leave spaces after commas only in articles or in short messages like chatting with someone online as well? How about emoji? Do you leave spaces after emojis?

It's always so impressive to me that everyone tells me to leave spaces after the commas since I found this site.
"the commas" sounds too specific
I really appreciate it that you all have pointed this out.
More casual/daily conversation: "I really appreciate it whenever you guys point this out."

That's really surprising!
The most possible reason might belikeliest reason may be that we always wrote homework by hand inat that age without smart phones being so widely used.
You could also use "most likely reason", I think "likeliest" sounds better for daily speech because it is shorter.
We also include spaces in handwritten documents. Without the space after punctuation, the sentence looks visually cramped.
I think students majoring in English would know ithis because they have to hand in their homework after typing them on the computer and printing them down onto the paperit out.
I think printing is always assumed to be paper, so you would only mention "printing it out". If it was not printed on paper, then you could say "printing it out on [insert material]."
I have come up with a good idea.
Every time I forget to leave the space for comma, I can use the switch the function in Word to change "."

".
I wonder whenif you type "."
or ",", will it automatically leave a space after it or you make the space by typing the space bar in every sentence (really no offendse).
We use a space every time! It doesn't feel like an inconvenience to me. The way hands are typically positioned on keyboards, it is easy to add spaces (thumbs resting on the spacebar). Now that I think about it though, it does feel different or maybe less convenient when texting.
Do you leave spaces after commas only in articles or in short messages like chatting with someone online as well?
Every message
How about emojis?
If it's a string of emojis, we don't use spaces inbetween. But if English follows it, we add the space after the emoji.

Yes, always leave spaces after commas!
For me, it was the other way around. I always wrote spaces after words and punctuation, like "はじめまして。 霞 です。 旅行、 和食、 スポーツ が 好き です。" My teacher hated it xDDD
