The influence of others

Today it's not difficult to find people who believe they're unique and special. The teenlike attitude according to which the others have no influence in the way a person constructs his identity is scattered over the so-called young adults. For some people their family as well as the relations they had with others before they discovered their real self are simple opposite forces which did no good to their current character. Their uniqueness resides in that they were able to be themselves against the others, as if being themselves was something they knew before being born in a family and a society.
But, nobody escapes from the influence of others. All of us have had the experience of finding oneself acting as somebody else without having decided to do so. We imitate and is natural that something of the people we deal with in a daily basis rubs off on us. If the way a new friend talk about the school have rubbed on you with ease, what influence do you expect your family, old friends and relatives had on your decisions and on your newly found real self?
