I bought a book by William Strunk, called 'The Elements of Style,' to improve my writing skills. It is a very short book; it is only 50 pages long. However, I don't mind it, because I want to read other books as well. I haven't started it yet, but I am interested if anyone read this book here, and if yes, how did you like it? Did you find it helpful for improving your writing skills, and what were your thoughts on the book?

Referring to a completed action (finish the book) so should be 'has read'
Did you find it helpful for improving your writing skills, and what were your thoughts on the book?

Writing "it" is technically correct but the sentence sounds halting and clunky with the word "it." Also, the word "however" is better suited to formal writing like debates or news articles.

Did you find it helpful for improving your writing skills, and w? What were your thoughts on the book?
This just looks easier to read in two sentences.

This is great writing! Almost all of this is technically correct. I mostly made stylistic suggestions.
I've read this book and I found it very useful. I think that even more native English speakers should read this book to improve their writing. I'm glad you reminded me to re-read the book myself!
