The Covid Test
I took a Covid test yesterday afternoon. I just checked my 72 hour Covid test records and I saw it was already negative.
Since I got Covid on the eighteenth last month, I have taken three Covid tests.
The first test was on the third day after I got Covid and it was positive. The second test was on the eighth day after I got Covid and it was still positive.
In fact, I wanted to take the test a few days before, but I only made it yesterday.
Although I took the test a few days later, fortunately it has turned negative.
I don't know when it started to turn negative, but I don't think it just turned negative yesterday.
Obviously, I guess it should have turned negative between the tenth and the fifteenth days after I got Covid.

If you want to use "turned," you have to put it into the correct use: the test turned out negative. If you don't use "turned," you can write, "The test was negative."

'Actually' is used here is like 'but' for when something is different (positive or negative) than the previous sentence.

I should of wrote "turned out to be negative" instead to be clearer. With a physcial test, 'turned' is used when something physically becomes a result. "The strip (the part that shows the results on the test) on the test turned positive." Turned out would be used when talking about the result. "The test turned out negative." It doesn't matter how you know it is negative, it is just negative.

Could you please tell me why you use past perfect tense here? I don’t know the difference between present perfect tense and past perfect tense in this context. Thank you.
