Tax Refund

This month I will receive my tax refund from my income tax. My company has already deducted withholding tax from my monthly income, but the rate they charged was higher than my tax bracket, so I will get a partial refund. It won't be a large amount of money, but I've still been looking forward to it for a while. I'm thinking about using part of it to buy a Kobo e-reader.

Feedback

I also a Kobo e-reader recently. (I dislike relying entirely on Amazon, and Amazon e-books seem to break after 3-4 years. A better design should last longer.)

Thank you so much! I agree the product should be designed to last longer. I hate modern products that easily break because companies want to sell new versions of them...

Tax Refund

This month I will receive my tax refund from my income tax.

more natural: This month I will receive my income tax refund.

My company (has already) deducted withholding tax from my monthly income (last year), but the rate they charged was higher than my tax bracket, so I will get a partial refund.

I think it would sound more natural without “has already,” because the tax period that this refund is for has already ended.

If this is for last year’s income tax, it would be natural to add “last year” here.

It won't be a large amount of money, but I've still been looking forward to it for a while.

Feedback

I got a rather large income tax refund this year. I used part of it to give a very nice wedding gift to my nephew and his bride, which made me very happy. I got something for myself too, but to be honest, I’ve already forgotten what it was. Not the wedding gift, though. :-)
