I want to speak English naturally, not like a textbook! ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ
I want to speak like a native speaker!! Seriously!!๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ๐ฅ๐ฅ
Would you please help me by correcting anything that's wrong or sounds unnatural in these sentences?
You can change whatever you want!
It's all right if you change an entire sentence!!
I'd like to learn some common phrases and slang! ๐
I'd also like to hear your advice on how to have conversations with English speakers.
I'm looking forward to receiving your constructive criticism.โ๏ธ
A: Have you seen "Robotoo-chan"?
B: What's that?
A: Crayon Shin-chan: Intense Battle! Robo Dad Strikes Back.
B: No, I haven't. what's it about?
A: Let's see... One day, hiroshi goes to a massage parlor, and his body is changed into a robot and he tries to get his real body back.
B: Hiroshi is the main character this time?
A: Well, it's like Shin-chan and Hiroshi are both main characters.
B: I see. I'll watch it!
-A week later
B: I watched "Roboto-chan".
It was good!
A: Great!
What's your score?
B: Seven.
A: That low? What part didn't you like?
B: No. It's not low. And I don't not like it. It wasn't bad and I was moved, but the comedy didn't click with me.
A: I see. I guess there're scenes you'd have to watch Japanese TV to understand it.
B: Probably.
What's your score?
A: 8 points
B: So it's not that different from mine. lol!
But why that score?
A: It had good animation. A famous director did part of the storyboard.
B: I see. what's their name?
A: Masaaki Yuasa
B: Are any of his movies are famous?
A: Lots. I think the most famous is, "The Night is Short, Walk on Girl".
His movies have unique worldviews and animations, so people tend to either love or hate them, but I think you should watch at least one.
B: I'll watch one!
A: Anyways, the best part of "Robo-To-chan" is the last scene!
B: I was moved by that scene too.
A: That scene was a tear jerker, yeah?
Everyone who saw it must have cried, right?
B: Absolutely! The way he intentionally lost made me cry.
A: I see... Me think that Hiroshi realizing he didn't belong there made him lose his strength
B: I see.
By the was, I couldn't understand when or why the father's and the mother's sides got along well.
A: Yeah, I feel you. I couldn't understand too. But it happens in this series. That's why this is Shin-chan movies, so don't think about it too deeply.
B: But what about "Adult" and "Sengoku"?
A: Those're an exception.
