Tadataka Ino
On my weekend trip, I went to visit the grave of Tadataka Ino (1745-1818).
Tadataka Ino was a great man who made an accurate map of Japan in the Edo period, and I learned about him in my history class at school.
At that time I was not interested in him at all.
However I am very interested in him recently.
That's because I heard the inside story about his Japanese map production.
He thought he could calculate the diameter of the earth, to achieve that purpose, he decided to make a map of Japan.
I'd like to write a little more about him in my next post.

伊能忠敬は、江戸時代に正確な日本地図を作った偉人として学校の歴史の授業で習いました。
その頃は、全く興味がなかったです。
でも最近とても興味があります。
というのも、日本地図制作にまつわる裏話を聞いたからです。
彼は、自分が地球の直径を計算できると考え、それを実現するために、日本地図を作ることにしました

However I recently I became very interested in him recently.(or I became very interested in learning more about him).
That's because I heard the inside story about his Japanese map production.
What do you mean by "inside story?"
