I was trying to say "I wanted to watch my favorite artist’s TV program on TV, but I couldn't because I'm living in Spain and I'm not able to watch Japanese TV program in Spain, so I asked my friend to record it and when I come back to Japan, let's watch it together."
So, instead of using "book" I think "record" is suitable here.
