When the sunlight begins to feel too hot, when I can't spend a minute outside without wiping sweat or fanning my face, when sneakers become too uncomfortable to wear, I know summer has arrived.

The "and" that I added is not necessary if you intended your entry to sound more poetic. I kind of like how it sounds without it.
