Summer Food
In Japan, this summer seems to be a record heat.
I often eat somen on hot days.
Somen is thin and white noodles, we eat it by dipping them in cold dashi soup.
It's a home-cooked dish, so I don't often see it served in restaurants, but recently I've started seeing it sold as bento boxes at convenience stores.
I was wondering what kind of food people in a foreign country eat on a hot day.
Please tell me about that if you do not mind.

日本では、今年の夏は記録的な暑さらしいです。
私は、暑い日には、よくそうめんを食べます。
そうめんは、細くて白い麺で、冷たいだし汁につけて食べます。
家庭料理なので、あまりレストランで提供しているのは見ないですが、最近はコンビニで弁当として売っているのを見るようになりました。
外国では、暑い日にどんなものを食べるのか気になりました。

"It's a home-cooked dish" -> "It's usually cooked at home" (Sounds a bit more natural)

Usually in Europe, we associate summer food with cool/ cold and refreshing foods, like ice cream and fruits. Probably the most commonly associated fruits with summer are watermelons, grapes, kiwi, berries, and apricots! We also often associate summer with things like skewered food (because of BBQs) and even sometimes pizza!
