Sept. 28, 2022
Not having a concret objectif, I always have a difficult time concentrating on my study. There are so many books ,articles or topics that I want to learn, but the SNS , Youtube, all other communication tools are so tempting to that point that I end up using too much time on the phone or Internet.
Besides, not belonging to any organisation, I spend most of time alone at home, which give me innumerate reasons not to learn something. I like being alone and have a bit of serenity, but sharing time with others is also extremely important when it comes to the learning, because the existence of others motivate you.
Recently, I found the concept of "learning together online". It's a web community where you study together at a certain period of time. Some are open 24h, some decide the time slot to gather. Their caracteristic is that we don't actually meet, nor don't we talk, but we put the camera on to show not the face but the table on which we are working, with books or a computer or whatever needed for our activity. This might sound a little bit quirky, but it seems like to have shown up in 2020, when the pandemic started. Students then who should study for their entrance exams didn't know where to do so, how to be motivated without being able to going outside. The online community for studing was a foregone production of the era.
Today I tested it for the first time, and it feels like a great idea. Though I can not firmly confirm its effectiveness, since this is day-1, seeing somone working certainly drives you to do the same. I wonder if the similar system is present in other countries.

"objectif" in French but "objective" in English. Many words ending with "if" in French will end in "ive" in English e.g. actif (French) and active (English). Also, when people use "study" as a noun, they usually mean a study room, a place in a house where you study or work.

The verb "motivate" acts on the object on the sentence "existence" not "others". "existence" is singular so you use "motivates". Here's another example to show what I mean: One of the houses *was* (not were, "one" is the target and is singular here) old.

It's a web community where you study together atfor a certain period of time.
You do something *for* a certain period of time, or *at* a certain time of day. "For" for periods of time, "at" for specific moments. In French, it's like the difference between "je l'ai fait pendant 2 heures (une spécifique période de temps)" vs "je l'ai fait à dix heures (un spécifique moment de temps)"
Some are open 24h, some decide the time slot to gather.
Their characteristic is that we don't actually meet, nor don't we talk, but we put the camera on to show not the face but the table on which we are working, with books or a computer or whatever needed for our activity.

or "it seems to have started..." but I think the one above is more natural. In other words, it's either "seems like (+pronoun/noun)" or "seems to (+verb)" but not a combination of the two. "Show up" is usually used with people appearing, not so much with events occurring, so you would say "The man showed up" but maybe not "The problem showed up"
Students then who shouldwere studying for their entrance exams didn't know where to do so, how to be motivated without being able to going outside.

No need for a hyphen between day and "1" or anything like that e.g. it's "game 1" not "game-1", or "year 1" not "year-1"
I wonder if thea similar system is present in other countries.
You don't know if there is a system like this in other countries, so you would use "a" here. If you know something exists and you are referring to it, then you would use "the" e.g. "the system"

I'm glad the study meetings are working for you. Be careful not to mix your French with your English e.g. "objective" instead of "objectif", "characteristic" instead of "caracteristic"
