Story

There was a blogger on Douyin, his name is Andy. His father is David, who also just recently created his own Douyin channel.

They are American, and lived in China three different times from the early eighties to the early nineties.

When they were in China, David worked at the Shanxi University as an English teacher, and so did his wife.

At that time, Andy was only a teenager. He kept in touch with his Chinese fellows, so now, he can speak Chinese like native Chinese speakers.

David has posted many videos on Douyin. Most of them were about the cultural differences between Westerners and Asians.

I remember two stories. The first one was: one day, another foreign English teacher told David that one student was not being honest. David asked why? The teacher said, "When I talk to him, he doesn't look at my eyes"

The other story was that one day, his wife was doing an English interaction activity with her students.

Suddenly, his wife found a male student standing beside her for a long time and didn’t move, even a little bit, while others moved around. She asked the boy and the boy said, "Sorry, ma’am, your chair is on my foot."

I think this is supposed to be in present tense since Andy still blogs.

or

Story

There wais a blogger on Douyin, his name is Andy.

Tense needs to be the same through the passage

His father is David, who also just recently created his own Douyin channel.

They are American, andbut lived in China three times from the early eighties to the early nighties.

"and" is not wrong grammatically, but it's unexpected because "They are American" contrasts with them living with China. The reader doesn't expect it from the first clause.

Whilen they were in China, David worked at the Shanxi University as an English teacher, and so did his wife.

"was" feels unnatural here. You could use "is" if you want (is instead of was because you still remember the story, it still exists)

David asked "why?"

Because this has a question mark, it's quoting what David said. If it is describing what David said, you could use "David asked why."

The teacher said, "When I talk to him, he doesn't look at my eyes."

The other story was that one day, his wife was doing an English interaction activity with her students.

Suddenly, his wife found a male student standing beside her for a long time andwho didn’t move, even a little bit, while others moved around.

"and" would be right if it was the wife that wasn't moving. But since the student is not moving, who is necessary to refer to the student.

She asked the boy and the boy said, "Sorry, ma’am, your chair is on my foot."

Feedback

Very good, all minor things.
