Last night, one friend asked me if there are gun-abuse issues in China, which reminded me of the story my mother once told me.
About 30 years ago, my mother in 20s got an assignment to take a 3-day alone business trip to a big city. My grandfather, who clearly knew how dangerous the distance-trip was for a young girl during this unrest period, gave his revolver to my mother and warned her to keep alarmed.
