¡Stinkiest Cheeses in the World! 🧀 🥪🤤

Couple of months ago during the lockdown in Jordan, I felt tired of going out walking for a few KMs and carrying my groceries back home. No cars were allowed in the streets and we had to walk anywhere we needed to go. I guess they didn't want people to leave their houses unless necessary. No complaints 😃
As soon as they allowed some grocery ordering services, I looked up in an app of a certain hypermarket and picked some of the usual stuff I eat, and also some of the things that caught my eye. This is how I was introduced to the smelliest cheese that I've ever tasted in my life. I was repeatedly given the same suggestion! To throw it away because of the strong smell in the fridge, but I made it look like that I didn't hear anything. Now everytime I buy it, I keep it wrapped very well so that it doesn't make the whole fridge smelly.

I wish I could read in French because I would like to know what that cheese is called and the equivalent of the name in English. All I know is that it's creamy and bitter 😋 It supposedly has walnuts in it as the packaging shows. It has a short expiry date, around 6 weeks from the production date. You probably think it's brie cheese, correct? But I've tasted brie before and I didn't like it much! This one though tastes really good!

I'm a huge cheese fan!
The most famous cheese in Jordan is goat cheese 🐐 Very yummy and we eat it either a little salty or use it after desalting it completely in two of the most famous desserts in the Arab world like Knafeh and Qatayef.
I also like halloumi, akkawi, feta and kashkaval (we call it Kashkawan in Arabic). In Addition to the other cheeses Iike cheddar, edam, parmesan and mozzarella. For my Béchamel sauce I usually use cheddar (this sauce doesn't have cheese in its original recipe though). I use a combination of 3-4 cheeses for my pizza, mostly (kashkaval, mozzarella and parmesan). When I'm really hungry nowadays I have a piece of cheddar with some black grapes!

¡Stinkiest Cheeses in the World! 🧀 🥪🤤

The plural of cheese is cheese. It's not countable so you can't say cheeses, just like you can't say rices.

CA couple of months ago during the lock down in Jordan, I felt tired of going out w. Walking for a few KMkilometres and carrying my groceries back home.

Try not to let your sentences run on for too long. When writing the abbreviation for kilometres, use small case letters. (km not KM). Also, kilometre is often abbreviated when saying for eg. 100km 600km, not in the middle of a sentence like "walking a few KMs"

As soon as they allowed some grocery ordering services, I looked up in an app of a certain hypermarket and picked up some of the usual stuff I eat, and also some of the things that caught my eye.

I was repeatedly given the same suggestionwarnings!

suggestion sounds awkward here.

To throw it away because of the strong smell in the fridge, but I made it look like thatacted as if I didn' not hear anything.

In Aaddition to the other types of cheeses Iike cheddar, edam, parmesan and mozzarella.

¡Stinkiest Cheeses in the World! 🧀 🥪🤤

Occasionally, I've seen "cheese" pluralized when referring to types of cheese; a web search for "cheeses" readily draws up many results, including those from sites that have good copywriting.

CA couple of months ago during the lock down in Jordan, I felt tired of going out w. Walking for a few KMkilometres and carrying my groceries back home.

I agree with "a couple of months" and "kilometres," but "lockdown" is typically written as a single word. Introducing a new sentence at "walking" doesn't seem necessary—the original sentence wasn't that long—and a fragment is thus created (though I realize that that may have resulted from a typo).

Thank you very much, roxbel, and please accept my apology for the delay! I had no idea that my journal was corrected because I didn’t receive any notification in my email. I’m new to this website and have no idea how it works. I would have thanked you earlier, and no worries about “أحسبت" 😁 You corrected it yourself.

I remember back in September that I googled it and it gave me results where cheese was pluralized when talking about types or brands of cheese 🧀

This is exactly what I meant by cheeses here; types or brands of cheese 🧀 Thank you : )

"Other" is helpful here to emphasise the contrast.
"Looked up" is fine, but "opened up" makes more sense to me, unless you want to indicate that you didn't have the app before.

This is how I was introduced to the smelliest cheese that I've ever tasted in my life.

I was repeatedly given the same suggestion!

This is correct as is but the other correction may make more sense.

T(I was repeatedly given the suggestion) to throw it away because of the strong smell in the fridge, but I made it look likepretended that I didn't hear anythingthose suggestions.

This is a sentence fragment and should probably be combined with what was before it.
"Didn't hear anything" is fine, but to me it suggests a literal sound, rather than something more metaphorical.

Now every time I buy it, I keep it wrapped very well so that it doesn't make the whole fridge smelly.

I wish I could read in French because I would like to know what that cheese is called and the equivalent of the name in English.

I also like halloumi, akkawi, feta and kashkaval (we call it Kashkawan in Arabic).

I wouldn't capitalise "kashkawan," personally.

I(I also like… ) in Aaddition to the other cheeses Iike cheddar, eEdam, parmesan and mozzarella.

Again, this is a fragment and needs to be combined with the previous sentence.
The capitalisation of cheeses is rather inconsistent, but my understanding is that "Edam" is generally capitalised. Here is some more detail: https://english.stackexchange.com/questions/188491/when-should-types-of-cheese-be-capitalized

For my Béchamel sauce I usually use cheddar, although (this sauce doesn't have cheese in its original recipe though).

The parentheses is fine, but this makes more sense to me because the idea that was in it isn't such a minor detail.

I use a combination of 3-4 cheeses for my pizza, mostly (kashkaval, mozzarella and parmesan).

Again, the original was fine, but this phrasing makes more sense to me.

When I'm really hungry nowadays I have a piece of cheddar with some black grapes!

Back then mom kind of asked me politely to throw it away because she couldn’t handle the smell 😂 She said if I didn’t throw it away, she would and eventually she did 🙄 So you are right, roxbel’s correction made more sense 😁
