Starting to Write Again After a Bad Moment
I have a long time without writing here, but I wanted to write again here because I got through a situation that left me with many reflections. A few weeks ago I had an issue with a company called Chao Pelos: I paid for a service for my husband, the doctor arrived thirty minutes later and during the process, she couldn't extract blood. It was so weird to us and she said that it was because my husband had medical problems. We definitely don't think it was true, we think that she was not able to extract blood, she was only a beautician with a course not a nurse or doctor.
So, because we didn't want to go back again or take another service with them, I requested a refund. They rejected it because they had internal politics, but I knew that I had rights as a consumer. So, I warned them that I needed my money and if they didn't want to refund it then I'll start a legal demand. They didn't take it so seriously and they continued with their decision, so I needed to face a long process for them to return my money. Also, I was one hundred percent sure that I'll win it.
At the beginning I felt helpless because I didn't have a lawyer, but I followed each step in the website, I sent all documents, and finally, the government gave me the reason. They published a document where they warned Chao Pelos to punish them with around a fifty six thousand dollars for violating my rights as a buyer.
When Chao Pelos read it, the lady that had been talking with me, rejecting my refund, contacted me quickly. She asked my about my bank information to refund my money. So, I recovered my money and they're still in the middle of the process waiting for the decision.
I felt a big calmness, not only about the economic side, but it's also that I confirmed that defending myself and suing is worthwhile.
