Are you a sporty person?
Three years ago I proposed myself, as a New Year's resolution, practice sport every day of the year.
I've been always a quite active guy but that first year was a massive change. I created a Google spreadsheet to write down my progress and that first year I work out around 90% of the days in the year.
I got the idea of register all my exercise days from an article about achieve good habits in your life. It claimed that it's though for the brain to "cut chains", so when you start to accumulate in the diary several days in a row exercised the brain resist to break the streak and it helps to create the habit.
As far as I concerned, after three years I can undoubtedly say ¡it works!. And you? Any trick to improve your health?
Article B2 First Exam
- When do you practice sports?
- How do you choose which sport to practice?
- Why do you prefer it over others?
I didn't follow the script, just a free practice, but I got > 140 words, that is the limit.
Are you a sportyn active person?
Both 'sport' or 'active' would work in here, but the rest of the passage seems to be talking about activity in general, and not necessarily playing a sport.
Three years ago I proposchallenged myself, as a New Year's resolution, to practice a sport every day of the year.
'Challenged' instead of 'proposed' is a stylistic choice, as proposed would technically make sense, but this makes it sound more natural. 'To' and 'a' have also been inserted to sound more natural.
I've been always abeen quite an active guy, but that first year was a massive change.
I created a Google spreadsheet to write downtrack my progress and that first year I worked out around 90% of the days in the year.
The word 'track' would be more accurate for assessing progress, rather than the less specific 'write down'.
