I've talked with a Philippine girl online today. She's planning to take some training and then work in Japan in the near future as a caregiver. I was so impressed with how mentally mature she is and passionate about learning Japanese as well. (she's 19)
I had a mixed feeling like "I will have to protect her (how?) and cheer her up at the same time, and I definitely need to help her in every possible way 🥹"
Regardless of how I worry about it, I'm sure she would go through all the things well anyway.
We can never ruin her pure passion like this.
It was a pretty nice chatting!

Question: Should the first letter of a word always be capitalized in the title of an English diary?

I would say yes - although not necessarily all of the other words. That is true for titles of books - but doesn't look right here for some reason.

It sounds fun to have a language partner online!

The tenses here are a bit mixed up.

I'd try:

"I was so impressed with her maturity and passion to learn Japanese" or

"I was so impressed with how mature she was and the passion she has to learn Japanese"

(she's 19)
I had a mixed feeling like "I will have to protect her (how?)

She is 19 and I had mixed feelings such as "How can I protect her?", "How can I cheer up", and "I need to help her in any way possible". Regardless of how much I worry about it, I'm sure she will get through everything just fine.

It sounds like you had a very emotional conversation??

Could I ask which app you used? I would also like to practice speaking some Japanese but not sure which things to try.

Question: Should the first letter of a word always be capitalized in the title of an English diary?

There is something in English called "title case" which you can research the rules on:
https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/capitalization/title-case

In the real world, outside of school and academic contexts, I don't think many people really care about or use title case. This is why I don't correct title case on people's posts. In my opinion, it's okay to simply style your title like any other sentence.

In English, every sentence (complete or incomplete) should *always* begin with a capital letter. Even if the sentence is one word, it should be capitalized.
