I believe Japan has stricter policies on copyright. Some bands don't put their music on streaming platforms like Spotify, so if you want to listen to their work legally, you need to buy a CD.
Today, I suddenly wanted to listen to the song "宙船 (Spaceship)" by Tokio. The song isn't on Spotify, but somehow, there is a metal cover version. I'm not a fan of metal music, but since I didn't have another choice, I listened to it anyway. Now, my head is filled with the cover, and I can't remember the original song.
