I randomly choose words, expressions, phrasal verbs etc. from my flash cards and my task is to incorporate them into meaningful sentence/s or a short story.
First sketch
Random words; GET SOMEONES MIND AROUND, HUMDRUM, BACKWATER, CONSCRIPTION
Having gotten his mind around his life he realises that he's a little sick of his humdrum everyday routine. He dreams of being conscripted as soon as possible and leaving his backwater planet for good.
Second sketch
Random word; TO SAUNTER, TO COME AROUND
Despite a battle between jet-fighters and UFOs unfolding in the sky, she was sauntering around the park and slowly but surely came around to her previous decision of buying a house in that area.
Third sketch
Random words; STRONG-WILLED, BE IN FULL SWING, TO MOLLIFY
Wow. You must be a strong-willed and a gatsy person if you think you are able to mollify the seasoned space jarhead’s party that is in full swing in the middle of nowhere and a campaign.
Or, you know, four-star general shoulder straps could be helpful as well.
Random words; GETWRAP SOMEONE'S MINHEAD AROUND, HUMDRUM, BACKWATER, CONSCRIPTION
Personally, I've never heard "get someone's mind around ___," only "wrap one's head around ____"
Having gottenwrapped his minhead around his life he realises that he's a little sick of his humdrum everyday routine.
The sense of "wrap one's head around ___" is usually describing trying to understand a difficult or shocking concept. The way you used it here is a little odd.

I think that's just a typo :) gatsy isn't a word.
