I'm going to a rural area university so it's far from my hometown. I will be back there this winter break but I'm really tired to buy souvenirs for my friends. I go back there twice a year so I'm buying something every single time but It's been 5 years! Do I really need to get something for them? I think I can't meet them even if I live in my hometown. I don't mean that I don't want to buy them, just I'm tired of researching to buy different stuff every time I go back. There is no more local stuff! I don't want them to expect anything from me.

It's more natural to say "I go to a university" rather than "I am going to a university."
