(I want it to be like a casual novel. Like Amy Tan.)
For a long time, maybe for a few years, I had been thinking, "That someone, vacuuming the house all the time!" I heard it in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening. And one day this idea suddenly came to me: That might have been electric cars!
I have always liked the sound of something occasionally going in the sky. One day, contrary to my imagination, with the sound I saw two helicopters above me. But whatever they were, that is not very important. The thing is that they make the same sound that I heard in "Star Wars." I watched it back in my country, when I was a teenager. So, now I know that the sound is just an ordinary thing here, but every time I hear it I am in "Star Wars."
This is America. I'm still here. In a city that I love so much, though today it's suffering from problems... (to be continued)
Amy Tan!)
Sounds I Hear 1 [Revised]
Like Amy Tan.)
For a long time, maybe for a few years, I had been thinking,: "That sSomeone,'s vacuuming the house all the time!"
I heard it in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening.
And one day this idea suddenly came to me: ThaIt might have been electric cars!
I have always liked the sound of something occasionally going by in the sky.
One day, contrary toand not just in my imagination, with the sound II heard, and then saw two helicopters above me.
Contrary to my imagination is a fairly unnatural phrase
But whatever they were, that is not very importantit's not important what they were. What's more important is that they made the same sound that I heard on Star Wars.
Your sentence is correct. I'm just suggesting a more natural way to rephrase this and the next sentence.
The thing is that they make the same sound that I heard ion "Star Wars."
We hear things on the television, not in the television.
I watched it back in my country, when I was a teenager.
So, now I know that the sound is just an ordinary thing here, but every time I hear it I am in "Star Wars."
This is America.
I'm still here.
In a city that I love so much, though today it's suffering from problems... (to be continued)
