Some thoughts

I would like to share some simple thoughts I had after reading my daily twenty pages of the book called "It's kind of a funny story" by Ned Vizzini. The protagonist has some mental health problems and is on heavy medication. He is a smart person but his mental illness is the reason he can't get anything done. Every day the only thought which is sticking consequently in his mind throughout his daily routine is to kill himself. Every time I read this book I got afterwards a weird feeling. Normally I am a pretty joyful person. But after reading I feel a little bit depressed. I don't think I should be worried or stop reading but I am very confused as I wouldn't have thought that a regular book has such an impact on my feeling. I'm going to research for this matter on the internet tomorrow. I don't think I m the only one who made this kind of experience so far.

Thank you for correcting :)

Normally I am a pretty joyfulhappy person.

Using the word "joyful" isn't wrong, but words like "happy", "optimistic", or "upbeat" are more commonly used when describing a person's personality.

But after reading I feel a little bit depressed.

I don't think I should be worried or stop reading but I am very confused assurprised. I wouldn't have thought that a regular book hascould have such an impact on my feelings.

Splitting the one sentence into two smaller ones makes it easier to understand. In addition, I think "surprised" is a better word to describe the feeling after reading.

Great job! I have also read "It's Kind of a Funny Story" and felt the same way. It's really amazing how much a story can impact our emotions and how much we can relate to the characters.
