Sitting in the Warm Sun

I'm sitting under my window, enjoying the sun's warmth. In the meantime, I have been editing the hiking videos for a while.

It's the most quiet and peaceful time of this week. At a time like this, I love to make some Chinese tea for myself. Today, I choose to enjoy old white tea, a type of tea from Fujian that can be used as traditional Chinese medicine. I like the soft taste with a little bit of sweetness.

Speaking of the hiking videos, I'm a little behind schedule. I've been too busy to edit last week's hiking video on weekdays. Today, I hope I can finish the videos from last week and most of them from yesterday.

For a long time, I wrote my English entries first and then translated them into Chinese with the Youdao dictionary and then adjusted a little. I thought it was efficient and accurate to let you understand what I want to say in English.

Recently, I found that some of your Chinese entries were a little unnatural, like something an AI wrote, so I'm trying to write my native text word by word by myself this time. After all, we are here to learn how to use a language like natives, not AI, right?

Maybe you'll find there are some mismatches between my Chinese and English texts.

Then there may be the following two situations, one is my English expression problem; The other is that Chinese has a different way of saying it. Please feel free to discuss those problems with me.

Feedback

Good writing! I understand what you mean perfectly. I sometimes use a translator when I am trying to form a formulaic phrase that exists only in Chinese, or if I encounter a new word and want to see how its used contextually. Too much reliance on a translator can be detrimental, and writing like a native comes with increased input. Reading and listening in your target language helps tremendously and exponentially.

I think translators are helpful during language learning but too much reliance on them might be a problem if you want to master a language.
