I have always held regularly meeting with my old school friends. Almost 10 or 15 years ago, when I asked to my friends to get together, soon I could see 8 or 9 peopl's face.
But as time goes by the number of people gathering decreased. I don't know if they are busy because of family or simply just tired.
However, some of them always come together as if we were still school students. As we are getting older, we have fewer friends but those are true friends remain.
1月2日
1月2日はいつも学生の時の友達と会っている。10年から15年くらい前は、私が集まろうよ、と声をかけるとすぐに8〜9人くらいの顔を見ることができた。でも、時と共に集まる人の数は減っていった。家族がいて忙しいからなのか、単に疲れてるだけなのかは分からない。
でも、その中の何人かはいつも来てくれる。まるでまだ学生のように。大人になるにつれ、友達は少なくなっていくけど、本当の友達が残ったというわけだ。

If you introduce the word regular, then the next noun / verb should be in plural
Almost 10 or 15 years ago, when I asked to my friends to get together, soon. I could see 8 or 9 people's face.

You're talking of the past, so 'went' instead of 'goes'

when I asked my friends to get together, "I would see 8 or 9 people" (or maybe "8 or 9 people would show up")
But as time goes by the number of people gathering decreased.
"But as time "went" by" sounds more natural
I don't know if they are busy because of family or simply just tired.
I don't know if it was because they were busy because of family or just tired. (I'd pick either just or simply; you don't need both)

As we get older, we have fewer friends, but our true friends remain.

You're definitely getting your points across! I added a few notes to make the sentences flow a little more naturally, but it's definitely clear what you're trying to say here.
