This word is pretty much always pluralized in this sense

Je veux parler Ffrançoais bien, mais je ne sais pas comment eapprendre/étudier cette langue.
Language names aren't capitalized: "françois" was alright in Middle French, a few centuries ago, but now the adjective is "français"
"apprendre" would be slightly better than "étudier" in this context
