Russian post-punk. 3

The first Russian post-punk song that I ever heard was ‘sudno’, thanks to tiktok, but I didn't understand the rythm, the beat or the melody, but the first song that I really liked was ‘kletka’. I didn't understand much about what was the song saying, but the sad and melancholic melody were enough to transmit the message. You know what they say; 'a song is good when, even though you don't know what they're saying, you get the message they're trying to share'.
The song is about feeling lonely, lost, left out and forgotten.
The song was stuck in my head for days, humming the melody singing phrases that I understood. I didn't want to look for the song because in that moment I was still very hurt because of what I was going through my life and believed that listening to sad music was going to make my mood worse, but the song was so beautiful that it felt like I had to listen to it once more. When I looked for it on YouTube, I realized that it belonged to ‘mochat doma’, the same group that composed ‘sudno’. Slowly, I ended up in the world of post-punk, and now these two are my favorite songs.

(apologies if this explanation is a little complicated!) When you use the present participle form of "to hum," which is "humming," it refers back to the subject of the sentence. In your original, the subject is "the song," so "humming" can't be used. But you could use it in a sentence like this: "I walked down the street, humming my favorite song." In that case, "I" is the subject.

I didn't want to look for the song because in that moment I was still very hurt because of what I was going through my life, and I believed that listening to sad music was going to make my mood worse, b. But the song was so beautiful that it felt like I had to listen to it once more.
