What time of the day are you most active?

I am what you call a morning person. I can’t drink alcohol at all actually, so I haven’t needed to be a night owl so far. I always wake up at 5:30 even on the weekend, so I can do a lot of things at AM and take some rest at PM.

I always wake up at 5:30, even on the weekend, so I can [do a lot of things at AM and take some rest at PM/get a lot of things done] in the morning and rest in the afternoon. If you're talking about doing tasks, it sounds a little better to say "get a lot of things done," but "do a lot of things" is also fine. It's best to use "morning" and "afternoon/evening" when you're not saying a specific time.
