I've been doing some rope jumping to lose weight for about a month. It's a fun exercise since you can do it while listening to music and jumping in the rythm of the songs. At first, it was tricky because I didn't have the necessary body resistence to keep jumping and I was quite sedentary. As I kept practicing, my body started to get used to the impacts in my lower body. I usually jump for 20 secs and rest for 10 secs, and I keep doing it up to 20 repetitions.
However, My shins have started to hurt recently so I'm taking a break from rope jumping for a while. The pain seems to be concentrated in the bones, not in the muscles. I hope this is just a temporary discomfort and not a permanent injury. The pain is small and tolerable, but it might hold me back during constant physical exercises. I recognize that rope jumping is a high impact activity and I shouldn't abuse much of it, like I probably have done. On the other hand, I've lost around 2-3kg by rope jumping, along with some other cardio exercises like jumping jacks and jogging. I want to recover as quickly as possible so I can keep going with my workouts.
Rope Jumping Rope
I've been doing some rope jumping rope to lose weight for about a month.
It's a fun exercise since you can do it while listening to music and jump ing in the rhythm / to the rhythm of the songs.
At first, it was tricky because I didn't have the necessary body resistamina / endurance / strencegth to keep jumping and I was. This is because I was previously quite sedentary.
Stamina and endurance would speak more to your cardio being what causes you to stop (ie you were out of breath). Strength would imply you were breathing OK, but you physically couldn’t jump anymore.
As I kept practicing, my body started to get used to the impacts in my lower body.
Impact is usually used as a singular.
Impacts (plural) you’d use when talking about multiple different impacts. Eg if you bumped into someone and then a third person bumped into you that’d be “multiple impacts.”
I usually jump for 20 secs and / then rest for 10 secs, and I keep doing it up to; I do this for 20 repetitions.
“Then” sounds more natural here. First I do X, then I do Y. It helps clarify the sequence. And it helps avoid repeating “and” too often.
Comma splice. Separate complete sentences need a period or semicolon (in some instances).
However, Mmy shins have started to hurt recently so I'm taking a break from rope jumping rope for a while.
The pain is small and tolerable, but / nevertheless it might hold me back during constant physical exercises.
I recognize that rope jumping rope is a high impact activity and I shouldn't abusedo too much of it, like I probably have done.
“Abuse” in the context of meaning “too much” is usually for drugs, alcohol, etc. For other activities, you’d generally say “overdo it” or “do too much” etc.
On the other hand, I've lost around 2-3kg by rope jumping rope, along with some other cardio exercises like jumping jacks and jogging.

Really well written! I’m a native Us English speaker and haven’t heard “rope jumping” before – though maybe it’s a regional phrase? I’ve always heard / said “jumping rope”.
Regarding your discomfort, it sounds like it could be “shin splints” which is caused by repetitive impact from running and jumping. If you google that term, you’ll find stretches and exercises that can help. But generally it’s causes to “too much, too soon.”
