Parte cuatro.

Llega el fin del verano y es la hora de que Harry y Ron vuelvan a Hogwarts. Esta vez, la más joven de los Weasley, Ginny, también comienza la escuela. Después de muchas idas y venidas de casa porque los niños no dejan de olvidar sus cosas, los Weasley llegan por fin al andén 9 3/4 para subir al Expreso de Hogwarts. Por alguna razón desconocida, todos consiguen atravesar el muro invisible excepto Harry y Ron, y no tienen tiempo de decírselo a los padres de Ron antes de que salga el tren. Aunque no es legal, deciden llevarse el coche volador porque es una "emergencia". El coche tiene un botón para volverse invisible, pero se rompe durante el viaje y varios muggles los ven volar por los aires. Justo antes de llegar a Hogwarts, el coche empieza a temblar y chisporrotear y tienen que hacer un aterrizaje de emergencia.

Terminan chocando contra un árbol: el sauce boxeador. El árbol consiente aplasta el coche, pero éste expulsa a Harry y Ron y huye hacia el bosque antes de que el sauce los lastime gravemente. Cuando los profesores se enteran, Ron y Harry se meten en un buen lío y Dumbledore les advierte que serán expulsados si rompan más reglas. Sin embargo, todos los estudiantes quedan muy impresionados, excepto Hermione y el hermano mayor de Ron, Percy, que están muy decepcionados.

Part Four

The end of summer arrives and it's time for Harry and Ron to go back to Hogwarts. This time, the youngest Weasley, Ginny, is also starting school. After a lot of back and forth to and from the house because the children keep forgetting their stuff, the Weasleys finally arrive at Platform 9 3/4 to board the Hogwarts Express. For some unknown reason, everyone is able to get through the invisible wall except for Harry and Ron, and they don't have time to tell Ron's parents before the train leaves. Although it's not legal, they decide to take the flying car because it's an “emergency." The car has a button to turn invisible, but it breaks during the trip and several Muggles see them flying through the air. Just before they get to Hogwarts, the car starts shaking and sputtering and they have to make an emergency landing.

They end up crashing into a tree: the whomping willow. The sentient tree crushes the car, but the car ejects Harry and Ron and flees into the woods before the willow seriously hurts them. When the teachers find out, Ron and Harry get into a lot of trouble and Dumbledore warns them that they will be expelled if they break any more rules. All the students are very impressed, however, except for Hermione and Ron's older brother Percy, who are very disappointed.
