Reading in english is hard
At the moment I work hard on my english.
I think a good way to learn is to read books to learn a lot of words in a pleasant way.
I tried to read a biography about The Beatles and it is too hard for me. There is lot of unknown words, complexe and metaphoric sentences.
Then I tried to read A Game of Thrones, and again... It is too hard. There is lot of specialised word about horses, weapons...
Now I read the second Harry Potter...
It is frustrating to think that I have been learning english for years and I have learned thousands of words, and I am just able to read a book written for children...

Very good. It can be really frustrating. What I have been doing recently is to try reading a page. The page could be describing a house that the main character walked in, and if all I got from that page is that the main character walked into a house, then I understood the most important part. I hope that helps you!
