"When you consider things like the stars, our affairs don't seem to matter very much, do they?"
This is a quote by Virginia Woolf that I like. It reminds me how insignificant our lives are and it makes me connect with what I truly enjoy in life. Whenever I worry too much or can't stop overthinking, this quote makes me realize how ridiculous my behavior is. After all, it'll all be forgotten. It makes me realize that things don't matter as much as I think they do. For me, it works as a reminder to take it easy.
It also makes me think and question my life. What matters to me? What matters to humanity? What defines our mattering? Am I doing things that matter to me or that matter to others? Do I enjoy my life as it is right now? I want to live with intention and this quote helps me with that.
