It is not common at all for us to eat fish! We tend to have turkey or chicken on Christmas Day.

Some people eat leftover meats in the evening with cheese or will save it and eat it over the rest of the Christmas period (until around New Years). People can normal choose if they want leftovers and how much. Cheese and meats are normal just cut into slices but not special shapes. There is not normally vegtables severed with leftover meats or cheeses (when I have Christmas meals, there are not any leftover veggies and extras aren't specially cooked to serve with the leftovers).

I would say that most do not but religious famillies might say prayers before eating.

Soup is not normally served at Christmas. I would say that starters are not that common at Christmas either (in my experience) unless eating at a restaurant. Sometimes, canapes are served, they are small pieces of food that are often made to look very pretty!

They are normally put out on Christmas Eve (24th) so the children can see that it has been put out. Once the children go to bed, they are then consumed/hidden by the parents so in the morning (25th) the children think Father Christmas has visited.
