My lesson taught by molar filling

On my way home, I dropped in at the local Japanese restaurant. While having strawberry ice cream for dessert, I felt something hard in my mouth. Seeing it as just a seed of strawberry, I swallowed it without much thought. Getting home, however, I realized it had been a filling of molar.

The next morning, when I was preparing breakfast, I just got stuck, looking at the green pepper in sauteed vegetables. I thought, "I can't bite this huge one without an unstuffed molar!"

After I finished slicing them into smaller pieces, one of my friends came up to my mind. She sometimes brings to us her homemade meals like simmered yellowtail with daikon (Japanese radish) or chilled Chinese noodles with various toppings. I remembered all the ingredients in them were cut small. At first, I thought she was just a meticulous person, but later it turned out that she wore perfect dentures. When I gave her a hard rice cracker, I was told that I needed more sensitivity. On top of that, during a meal, she looks like brooding about something and never stuffs her face with food. Finally, I felt like I got to the answer.

My own experience of losing a molar filling has allowed me to understand the pain of others. The hole in the molar taught me my lesson the hard way. Letting this be a moral, I might as well keep away from a dentist for the time being.
