I don't know if this is wrong, but fruitful is not usually used so literally. If you look on Webster (https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fruitful), you'll see examples more like "fruitful soil" or "fruitful rain" rather than the literal "plants" or "trees" on which the fruit actually grows. I feel "bountiful" might actually be more natural here.
