Caught in between two languages

I recently find myself being caught in between English and Chinese language that causes some misunderstanding when communicating with people around me. Chinese is a high-context language, sometimes people do not answere your question directly. It make me frustrated and confusing when an simple yes or no question not replied in a simply way instead of giving you a bunch of explainations that leaving you guessing...

I realize English is a low-context language that people ususally reply what exactly what you ask. It makes me feel comfortable and able to get the gist of what people say quickly. I know that this may cause some awkward situation of being blunt but rather guessing what other people say in long context, I prefer people being straight to me even though sometimes it is the critizisim.

The reality is I live in China and I have to get used to the way how people communicate and find the balance between these two languages/cultures.
