Preparation
I will go to travel this weekend, but I haven't made much of a plan nor preparation yet.
I always end up at the last minute.
However, it is important to prepare for an enjoyable trip.
I will start looking for inns and make reservations now.

Since the verb is "made" if you say "preparation," it feels weird. ("made preparation")
You can use prepare as a verb or you can say something like "made much of a plan nor any preparations yet." To me, the former sounds better.
I always end up doing so at the last minute.
You need the verb for this to make sense.
However, it is important to prepare for an enjoyable trip.
