Preĝo

Lordo mia sankta Dio dankon por cxi tiu novan tagon.

Konsideru aliajn manierojn (Consider other ways):

Normale, oni uzas la vorton "lordo" nur por homoj, ekzemple (Usually, you use the word "lord" only for people, for example): "Lasu min prezenti al vi la lordon Mackay de Clashfern." (Let me introduce you to Lord MacKay of Clashfern.) Oni povas akiri la Sankta Biblion en Esperanto. (You can get the Holy Bible written in Esperanto.)

Mi pregxas ke cxi tiu pandemico iros.

Mi preĝas, ke la pandemio foriros.

Angle: "Iros" means will go. This is fine in English. English is quite grammar sloppy but Esperanto is more strict (like many other languages). If we want to impart the meaning "will go away" in Esperanto, we have to say just that! So it would be: "iros for". However, this can be neatly combined into: "foriros".

Lordo mi pregxas vi helpos tiuj homoj dolorigas per cxi tiu pandemico.

Sinjoro, mi preĝas, ke vi helpu tiujn homojn kiuj suferas pro la pandemio.

Angle: I think that the "imperative" form of the helpi verb is needed here (helpu), not so much the future tense version (helpos). The key word that distinguishes here is "preĝas". If we are praying, we are asking fairly intensely for God to do something: we are conveying our strong desire for something to happen. We are not commanding that something should be done but we are instead asking in a way that is respectfully short of commanding! See these other examples:
